The sweltering heat during recent days has not only taken a toll on people’s well-being but also impacted their wallets. A Delhi man recently shared his shock on social media after receiving a staggering electricity bill of Rs 30,000 for June. The amount has not only left him in disbelief but has also sparked concerns among other users.
The man expressing his disbelief on Reddit, wrote, “Pain. How is this even possible?” He shared a screenshot from BSES Rajdhani, showing a payment of Rs 30,280 due by July 9.
The Reddit user in the comment section had mentioned that he recently upgraded his 16-year-old air conditioning units with new models in hopes of reducing costs. However, despite his efforts, he found himself receiving a staggering electricity bill. In his post, he mentioned that he has four ACs out of which at least two are switched on at any given time. “Bought new ACs thinking it’ll save money. It did not, in fact, save money. Four ACs, out of which at least two running at a time,” he wrote on Reddit.
