Well, this unfortunate incident wasn’t just a story for one man from Delhi who recently visited Goa. It took a bizarre turn when he discovered what his stolen iPhone was traded for—a plate of Pav Bhaji! Yes, you read that right. An iPhone valued anywhere between Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1.5 lakh exchanged for a dish that’s worth a mere Rs. 100 at a local joint and maybe Rs. 500 at a posh restaurant!
Sharing his ordeal on social media, user @KartikeyaRai11, revealed how his trip to Goa turned into a comically sorry situation after a friend spilled the beans on social media. In his own words, “A drunk dude pickpocketed my phone in goa (I was equally drunk) The drunk dude then got very hungry and went to eat bhaji pao in a small shop but he had no money to pay for it so he took out the red iPhone and tried to trade that for the bhaji pao.”
And here’s where the plot twists yet again: the eatery owner accepted the unusual payment, charged the iPhone, and astonishingly, answered a call from the rightful owner nearly 36 hours after the device went missing. To everyone’s amazement, the eatery owner was tracked down a whopping 60 kilometres away from the scene of the crime and promptly returned the phone to its rightful owner.

Now, whether you burst into laughter or shed a tear for this unlikely protagonist is up to you, but one thing’s for sure: the internet had a field day with this tale, unable to contain their amusement.
