In the vast digital landscape of the internet, animal videos often emerge as captivating accounts, drawing viewers into the wild wonders of our natural world. Among these, a recent spectacle has seized the spotlight: a stunning sight of kangaroos hopping across a golf course showcasing the beauty of wildlife in action.

Posted by an Australian golfer named Stephen Roche, the video takes us right into the action, where many kangaroos are hopping across the neatly trimmed grass of the golf course. Roche cleverly calls it a ‘stampede’ of kangaroos, perfectly describing their energetic movement.

The video appeared on social media platform X (Formerly Twitter), shared by Stephen. In the caption, he mentioned seeing kangaroos on the two golf courses at Heritage Golf & Country Club in Victoria, Australia, but this ‘stampede’ was unlike anything he’d witnessed before. “We have kangaroos on our 2 courses at Heritage Golf & Country Club, but I’ve never seen this before!!” read the caption. According to a report, Stephan later confirmed that the particular incident was recorded on the fourth hole of the St. John course there just outside of Melbourne.

Adding to the spectacle, another golfer swiftly commented on Roche’s post, sharing a video of the same incident from a different angle in the comments section. “Was this yesterday? If so, I was on the tee filming it from the other angle! Felt like it went forever,” wrote Michael McCarthy, alongside his video. Stephan confirmed, “Yes it was Michael! Amazing to see, wasn’t it!”

Another user raised a question about the impact of the ‘stampede’ on the golf course, asking, “Tough on the greens?” Stephan reassured, “Surprisingly no. Soft footed animal. The only sign of them is footprints in bunkers.”

A user curiously asked about the collective term for a large group of kangaroos. He wrote, “I know there has to be some cool Aussie term for a giant herd of kangaroos. What is it?” Stephan promptly answered, “A mob.”

Impressed viewers expressed their admiration for the video, with comments like, “Such fascinating animals. I find them absolutely amazing. I hope to see something like this in my lifetime.” Others added a humorous touch, likening the scene to “Jurassic Park.”

Since its online debut, the video has garnered over 100,000 views.
