Cravings can be a major obstacle when trying to eat healthier and substituting sugary or unhealthy snacks with more nutritious options. Following a healthy diet can be a significant challenge for foodies because it takes a lot of perseverance, and getting used to the taste of healthier dishes takes time and effort. During this time, many people grapple with cravings and wonder if they should return to older habits.
Relating to this topic, a video is doing the rounds on the internet where comedian Gaurav Kapoor shares how it feels after eating healthy food or maintaining a diet. The clip has garnered a lot of interest online as people found the situation relatable, and now, the video has clocked more than 18 million views on Instagram.
The video opens with the text “After drinking almond milk coffee for two days” and shows comedian Gaurav Kapoor talking to someone off-camera, who is presumably a server at a restaurant. As the video progresses, Gaurav spells out his orders and asks for coffee with full cream and full-fat milk. He clearly instructs the server not to add other alternatives, like almond milk or any such thing. As a sweetener, he says to add anti-food farmer white processed sugar rather than healthy alternatives such as jaggery or maple syrup.
The video then proceeds to show another scenario with the text, ‘After eating millet noodles once.’ Here, the comedian is seen ordering a veg manchurian with noodles that are specifically made of Maida. He then asks for Ajinomoto to be added to the dish and also on the side for ‘taste.’ Elaborating further, he requested the server that the manchurian be red in colour. He clarified that the Manchurian should be red and spicy, they don’t have to necessarily use edible colours, but they can use ‘water colour.’
Next comes the text, ‘After eating quinoa beans bowl once,’. Here, Gaurav orders white rice and mentions that he doesn’t want brown or red rice, he wants ‘white processed rice’ with a layer of rajma on top. He then explains that the rajma beans should be polished, not organic. “Nothing from the farm to me. Farm to pesticide to factory, and after tasty processing, then to me,” he stated.
With the title, ‘Green Tea After Effects,’ he asks for chai. He humorously said, ‘Brown colour chai’ with milk and sugar. Then he rhymed, ‘Swad chai aakhein khul jaye’.
