The country has been grappling with intense heat these days. The summer has especially been merciless for those living in the national capital region as the rising temperature has been breaking records. The sun has been blazing down with relentless heat. In this condition, it is not just us humans who have been feeling the pinch of it. In Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad, the high temperatures are causing distress for everyone, including animals and birds. Recently, a monkey fell from a tree, as a result of the intense heat. Fortunately, some kind-hearted residents found it and immediately jumped into action to help the animal.
In a video that has now gone viral, we can see some people trying to soothe the monkey with cold water. They also make it drink some ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) to help it regain some strength and stay hydrated.
The residents also worked together to give the monkey a refreshing bath. They also massaged it with cooling oil to provide some relief. They made sure the monkey drank plenty of ORS to stay hydrated. Their quick response and active care saved the monkey’s life.

Many viewers have flocked to the comment section to express their views as well as to appreciate the people helping the monkey.
“The condition of animals is very bad in summer, and very few people pay attention to it… it was good to see it.” Another user added, “Not just humans, even animals are suffering from the heat.” “It is extremely hot, take care of yourself and your loved one, wrote another one.
“Planting lots of trees in your local areas seems like the only way to get some relief from the soaring temperature in the near future,” suggested a user, meanwhile another one said, “We are humans and we can easily use fans, coolers and air conditioners. Meanwhile, these poor animals do not understand what to do. We should be alert and ready to help them these days.”
This incident of animals suffering from heatwave is not isolated. A few days earlier, another monkey had fallen from a tree and fainted, in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. It was later saved by the head constable Vikas Tomar, who was present on the scene.
