Zenith Irfan, a woman solo biker from Pakistan, defies societal norms by traveling alone across the country, inspiring change and admiration everywhere she rides

Solo trips are popular among many. However, Lahore’s Zenith Irfan has caught the attention of the world with her passion for solo biking. Inspired by her late father’s dream of traveling the world on a motorcycle, Zenith made it her own mission. 29 year old Irfan has set out on a journey with her bike, becoming Pakistan’s first woman motorcyclist to ride across the entire country solo.

Irfan has been travelling solo on her bike for years. Her journey has inspired the film ‘Motorcycle Girl’ which is based on her life. She started riding her bike at the age of 12. Since then, she has traveled alone across the country, braving storms, rain, and strong winds. At 20, she rode through Northern Pakistan on her own and completed a solo trip through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Today, people salute her indomitable spirit.

Born in Sharjah, UAE, Irfan has lived in Pakistan since 12. When she hits the road on her bike in her black and grey jacket, she never fails to bring smiles to those who see her. Zenith shared that it was her father’s dream to tour the world on a motorcycle, and to honor his wish, she traveled on bikes like the Honda-125, CD-70, and Suzuki GS-150. She has even ventured into areas considered unsafe for women, breaking barriers and inspiring others.

Zenith Irfan keeps sharing her travel stories frequently on social media. Her passion towards biking has made her into a national icon.

Thanking her mother, Irfan said, “My mother is very liberal. It is from her that I got this strength. I have been riding my bike since the time when girls were kept in purdah in Pakistan. But this passion of mine has brought change in many people’s thoughts.”

She regularly posts photos on Facebook, showing her crossing rivers, interacting with tribesmen and truck drivers. These have garnered thousands of likes and widespread admiration.
