In a quest to fulfill his dreams, a groom stunned everyone when he reached an examination centre along with his baraat. The incident took place during the Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment examination. The man decided to appear for the examination before going for his wedding. The viral post was shared by All India Radio (AIR) News on Instagram. AIR also shared two images of the man in his wedding attire. In the pictures, the man is seen donning a suit with a traditional turban on his head and henna on his hands.

As per AIR news, the groom said that “a career is necessary before marriage”. After taking the examination, he left for his wedding venue with his baraat. The video has accumulated nearly 5,200 likes. While some appreciated his efforts, a few argued that he could have appeared for the exam in regular clothes. A user wrote, “Banda normal bhi aa skta hai skbo itna show off kyu krna hai pata nhi.” (Could have come in normal clothes).
However, this is not the first video that shows any bride or a groom taking an exam before the wedding.
In Uttarakhand, a student appeared in a groom’s dress for the LLB 5th semester CPC paper exam at Pandit Purnanand Tiwari Law College. During this, the wife kept waiting for the groom outside in the car with the family members.
In February 2023, a bride showed up for her practical exam in her wedding dress with a lab coat and a stethoscope around her neck. A video of the same was recorded and posted online. As soon as the video was posted it struck the right chords with the internet users and gained much appreciation.
Similarly, in Karnataka’s Shivamogga the bride attempted her examination in her wedding attire as she did not want to miss out on the paper although it coincided with her marriage date. Interestingly, she was brought to the exam centre by her groom immediately after their wedding. She hurriedly reached her college straightaway from her wedding hall and attempted the exam in her wedding attire itself.
