Would you prefer to leave your daily lifestyle and live on a ship? Sounds strange right. While living on a ship sounds good for a vacation, a couple in the USA has decided to make it their residence. As per the latest reports, Monica Brzoska and her husband, Jorell Conley, have adopted this new lifestyle. The couple, who originally lived in Memphis, Tennessee, switched to full-time cruising after selling their belongings and quitting the usual 9-to-5 job.
A thought that might prop up in the minds of many is that it is expensive to spend days on a cruise. Reportedly, the pair methodically evaluated their expenses and managed to maintain their lifestyle for less than $10,000 (Over Rs 8 lakh) per year, mostly by taking advantage of reduced cruise deals and renting out their Memphis house.
Monica recognises the difficulties while they live on a cruise away from the people they know. They occasionally feel the need for family connections. However, a family crisis fueled their resolve to set sail permanently and encouraged them to pursue their aspirations without delay.
Monica stated. “If we chose the cheapest cabins, our savings from the pandemic would allow us to book eight months of cruising for $9,989.19-some trips paid for in full, others with deposits.”
Since they decided to set sail, the couple has visited dozens of countries, including Fiji, Japan, and Greece. They’ve taken 36 consecutive cruises in the last year, frequently disembarking from one ship to board another in the same port.
This is not the first time a couple decided to abandon their daily life on land for a life filled with adventure on the sea. Some time back, another couple in the United States sold all they possessed to pursue their ambition of sailing across the world claiming it is cheaper than living on land. John and Melody Hennessee, a couple from Florida, sold their home, business, and the majority of their things to begin on global travel in 2020.
