Most of us take many simple things for granted, such as going to the beach, getting on a flight, or going on a vacation to another country. However, many people spend all their lives without doing any of these. Now, a video is going viral that shows an elderly woman seeing the ocean for the first time. In the video, she is accompanied by her family as she first looks at the ocean. She immediately becomes overwhelmed with joy and awe. One of her family members steadies her so that she doesn’t fall down in excitement. The elderly woman’s family members urge her to ‘enjoy herself’ as she takes in the surroundings.

Later in the video, the woman gets into a swimsuit and tries to venture further into the ocean. She jokes amongst her family members that they should alert a handsome lifeguard to save her from possible drowning as she intends to go into the ocean. This wholesome video was taken at Miramar Beach in Argentina.
This video was first posted on TikTok on February 8, but it has since gone viral across social media. On Saturday, the New York Post shared it on Instagram and wrote, “She couldn’t believe her eyes. Isa, a 72-year-old woman who raised 10 children, saw the ocean for the first time in this emotional clip.”
So far this video has gathered hundreds of views. In the comments, many people expressed how touched they were by the clip. An Instagram user commented, “Just think about all the things in life people take for granted! This is probably silly to someone who’s been going to the beach all their lives.”
Another person expressed mixed emotions and wrote, “I’m happy and sad for her at the same time. It took her 72 years to finally see the ocean. But at least it was a good experience that she got to witness.”
An Instagram user commented, “Finally a Great Uplifting Story and glad She got to see the ocean for the 1st time in all of her Life.” Someone who was lives on an island nation commented, “I was born and raise in an island so the ocean is just a regular sight for me. The things we take for granted. She looks so happy.” “Im curious …..but Where do you have to live to not see the ocean ever????,” inquired another one.
