The Vande Bharat Express train was inaugurated in 2019 with its first route connecting Delhi and the holy city of Varanasi. On March 12, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 10 additional Vande Bharat trains. Now, there are over 50 trains running across 45 nationwide routes. Besides the semi-high speed, Vande Bharat’s special features include modernised interiors, advanced facilities, and top-class service that have attracted passengers to come on board. Recently, the Southern Railway shared a video featuring a group of girls singing a song and enjoying the train journey aboard Chennai to Mysuru Vande Bharat Express.
The video dropped on X (formerly Twitter) has now gone viral. The clip opens with the visuals of 12 women inside the Vande Bharat train joyfully singing a Telugu song in chorus. Some took out their cellphones to read the lyrics of the track. The video also offered glimpses of the Vande Bharat train from the inside. A wide range of food was displayed on the built-in table in front of the girls. All of them had smiles on their faces, seemingly having a good time with each other.

“A symphony of joy aboard the Chennai – Mysuru Vande Bharat Express! Witness the enchanting moments as these young ladies turn their journey into a delightful musical escapade with their sweet songs,” read the note accompanying the post.
As soon as the video surfaced on the internet, social media users wasted no time to react to the video. While one individual pointed out, “They must’ve booked a full compartment to enjoy themselves,” another simply wrote, “Love it.” One X-user found the chorus to be “interesting in otherwise dull moments” on a train journey.

Last year, a woman named Surekha Yadav became the first Asian loco pilot of the Vande Bharat Express train scripting history. In an interview with ANI, she thanked the Indian Railways for giving her the opportunity to serve the passengers. “Feeling so happy that I got this opportunity after 34 years of my service in the Indian Railways,” she said.
