Watch: Olympic Silver Medallist Zhou Yaqin Helps Parents At Family Restaurant, Internet Impressed

Chinese gymnast Zhou Yaqin claimed a silver medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. The teenage Chinese sensation hogged the limelight for adorably imitating Italian gymnasts Alice D’Amato and Manila Esposito, who were “biting” their medals on the podium. While the Summer Games 2024 has come to an end, there seems to be no respite for Yaqin. In a now-viral video, shared on X (formerly Twitter), Yaqin can be seen helping out her parents at the family’s restaurant in China. Yaqin, in her Olympic uniform, is serving food to customers. A report published by CGTN claimed that Yaqin returned to her hometown in Hengyang City, located in central China’s Hunan Province, to assist her family members at the restaurant.

“Remember that cute Chinese gymnast Zhou Yaqin? After winning the Olympic silver medal, she has returned to her parents’ home for a vacation. Of course, you can’t call it a vacation. Because she needs to help work in the restaurant run by her parents,” read the note attached to the video.

The video has collected 2.9 million views on social media, so far.

Reacting to the post, a user said, “Hard work and feet on the ground.”

Showering huge praise on the Chinese Olympic medalist, a user wrote, “She’s a great the gymnast and also a good daughter too. What a nice person!”

Making her Olympic debut at the Bercy Arena in Paris, Zhou Yaqin bagged the silver medal at the Summer Games 2024. She notched a final score of 14.100. Alice D’Amato won the gold with a score of 14.366 and her compatriot Manila Esposito registered a third-place finish.
