Woman Claims Google Street View Captured 'Ghost' In Cemetery
The US woman reportedly captured a mysterious figure peering directly at the camera from behind a set of stone walls.

In New Hampshire’s town of Nashua in the US, a woman named Amy Pendleton has set the paranormal world abuzz with a startling discovery on Google Street View. As per a report in NY Post, a TikTok clip that has since gone viral, Pendleton shares what she believes to be a ghostly encounter in the infamous Gilson Cemetery, known for its eerie reputation and long history of paranormal activity.

Pendleton’s TikTok video reportedly begins with an introduction of the potential spectre captured on Google Street View. With a mix of curiosity and trepidation, she takes viewers on a virtual tour through the dimly lit Gilson Cemetery, showcasing its notoriety as a paranormal hotspot.

The atmosphere becomes more chilling as Pendleton switches to a 360-degree panorama view, revealing a mysterious figure peering directly at the camera from behind a set of stone walls. The figure, described as a potential ghost, adds an extra layer of spookiness to the already haunted ambience of Gilson Cemetery.

But the ghostly revelations don’t end there. In a follow-up clip, Pendleton unveils yet another shadowy entity standing behind the wall to the left of the original apparition. The discovery prompts Pendleton to exclaim, “Wait, is that another one? That’s a ghost for sure,” all while the iconic theme song from Ghostbusters plays in the background.

Sceptics, however, have questioned the authenticity of the spectral event. Pendleton herself raises doubts, suggesting that Google may have edited out a person caught by the Google car and that the Street View blurring job was less than thorough. Could it be a mere bush, or is there truly something paranormal afoot in Gilson Cemetery?

The lore surrounding Gilson Cemetery only deepens the mystery. Lisa Rogak’s 2004 edition of Stones and Bones of New England documents the cemetery’s reputation as the most haunted in New Hampshire. Ghost hunter Fiona Broome has been investigating the site since 2008, with numerous reports of orbs, strange lights, apparitions, and even sightings of ghostly children along Gilson Road.

According to local tales, as mentioned by author Peter Muise in his blog, if you leave the cemetery and yell, “Betty Gilson, I have your baby!” a “ghostly” woman dressed in Colonial-era clothing is said to appear. Whether she materializes in the middle of Gilson Road or plays hide-and-seek behind the trees, it adds a dash of spooky theatrics to the already ghost-packed narrative.

Various theories attempt to explain why Gilson Cemetery is believed to be so haunted. Some claim it was the site of a brutal battle between local Native American tribes, while others suggest the occurrence of two deadly house fires in its history. It seems Gilson Cemetery has more drama than a Netflix series – only, this one involves ghostly apparitions and mysterious shadows.
