Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal, along with his second wife Gia Goyal (née Grecia Munoz), has been personally delivering orders across Delhi NCR. The couple was recently spotted in Gurugram, sporting Zomato’s signature red T-shirts as they completed deliveries. Goyal, who donned the hat of the delivery partner to gain firsthand insights into his business operations, claimed that he was stopped from using the lift of Gurugram’s Ambience Mall after he went there to collect an order from Haldiram’s as a delivery partner. He took the stairs to the third floor. He said that he need to work closely with malls to improve the working conditions for all delivery partners.

“During my second order, I realised that we need to work with malls more closely to improve working conditions for all delivery partners. And malls also need to be more humane to delivery partners,” wrote Goyal on X (formerly known as Twitter). “What do you think?” he asked his followers on the microblogging platform.
The video opens to show Goyal trying to enter Gurugram’s Ambience Mall to collect an order from Haldiram’s, but the security personnel direct him to use a different entrance. Later, Goyal realises that he has been asked to take the stairs instead of using an elevator.
As the video goes on, he returns to the main entrance to check if there are any elevators designated for delivery partners. Goyal, carrying the delivery bag on his back, climbs the stairs to the third floor to pick up the order, only to realise that the delivery partners are not permitted to enter the mall and must wait by the stairs top pick up their orders.

While waiting for the restaurant to prepare the order, Goyal sits on the floor with other delivery partners, taking the opportunity to gather their feedback. He also mentions sneaking in to collect the order after the staircase guard “took a small break”.

Goyal, on October 5, shared a series of pictures on Instagram where he teamed up with his wife to deliver orders in Delhi NCR. In one image, Gia, riding a pillion, captures Deepinder navigating the streets on a bike. Another photo likely shows them pinpointing the delivery address, as they appear engrossed in the phone. One striking image captures Deepinder with a Zomato delivery bag slung over his shoulder, holding a helmet in one hand and his phone in the other. The photos also feature him interacting with customers of the Gurugram-based food delivery company.
