After surviving an assassination attempt, Trump is hoping to build momentum toward a November victory over US President Joe Biden and a second term in the White House. Supporters lined up all week to applaud the former president for his bravery since the weekend attack by a gunman at a Pennsylvania rally
Trump received a hero’s welcome as he arrived at the RNC, where he accepted the Republican Party’s presidential nomination. “In an age where our politics too often divide us, now is the time to remember that we are all fellow citizens. We are one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all,” he added.
