After the successful launch of Urban Cruiser Taisor earlier this month, Toyota finally started dispatching the first units of vehicles to dealerships across India. The customer’s deliveries are all set to begin next month.
The rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Urban Cruiser Taisor was released with a price tag of Rs 7.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The vehicle is offered in five variants: E, S, S+, G and V, giving more options to customers to choose from.
Engine Options
The tech-loaded vehicle is available in two engine options – 1.2-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The former generates a maximum power of 89 bhp and 113 Nm of peak, latter churns out a maximum power of 99 bhp and peak torque of 148 Nm.
Both the units are mated with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, while 1.0L engine has been given an optional 6-speed automatic. Amid this, interested customers can also purchase the newly launched Taisor in a company-fitted CNG option.
Overall Design
The Taisor comes with a bold style statement, featuring a fully LED headlight setup, blacked-out grills at the front, and flaunting chrome finish Toyota’s badging on the top. The company has also invested decent efforts to give it an eye-catching appeal from the back. It gets a connected LED light bar, and redesigned tail lamp clusters, and has been given stylish 16-inch alloy wheels.
Interior
Taisor features a similar cabin to Maruti Suzuki Fronx. It offers a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is supported by wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also has some notable features that include automatic climate control, a wireless charger, a head-up display, and 360-degree camera among others.
