Infosys Accuses Cognizant of Unfair Employee Poaching, Sends Letter To IT Firm: Report
Infosys has sent a written communication to Cognizant after a few of its senior leaders departed to join the company

In an intensification of the poaching row, IT major Infosys accuses another IT company Cognizant of unethical poaching tactics. According to a Moneycontrol report citing at least three people familiar with the development, Infosys has sent a written communication to Cognizant after a few of its senior leaders departed to join the company.

Infosys’ accusation comes after a similar allegation by its rival Wipro, which has sued two of its former executives who recently joined Nasdaq-listed Cognizant.

“Non-compete clauses are not enforceable but this communication to Cognizant was more of a deterrent”, said one of the sources, according to the Moneycontrol report.

It said that another source said the communication by Infosys was sent some weeks ago.

Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar took over the charge in January this year. He has hired about 20 executive vice-presidents and 4 senior vice-presidents, including those from Infosys and Wipro. He was with Infosys earlier.
