New Delhi: Putting an end to all the speculation about its top management in India, STAR group on Sunday said Peter Mukerjea, Chief Executive Officer, STAR Group, India and Sameer Nair, Chief Executive Officer, STAR Entertainment, India, have tendered their resignations.

While Nair’s resignation, which comes on the eve of the launch of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC)' with Shah Rukh Khan as the host, will come into effect from March end.
Rumor is going on in the industry is that Nair may join NDTV Entertainment, a new channel from the NDTV stable in which filmmaker Karan Johar has a stake.
Paul Aiello, STAR CEO designate, will be the acting Chief Executive Officer of STAR India, a release issued by STAR India Ltd in Mumbai said.
UNI quoted Aiello as saying, ''Peter and Sameer are two extraordinary executives in the industry. The transformation of STAR India into the leading television network in the country came in no small part due to their leadership. It is with great regret that we accept their decisions to resign from the company. We thank them for their tremendous contributions and wish them all the best in the future.''
While STAR is scouting for a CEO for its India operations, among the names doing the rounds is that of journalist Vir Sanghvi, but STAR has denied this.
