'Comeback Yash Dayal Jaisa De': Team India Fans Delighted as Pacer Handed Maiden Test Call-up Against Bangladesh

The Indian Test Squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh at home was announced on Sunday, the 8th of September.

Rohit Sharma will lead the lineup, while star batter Virat Kohli will spearhead the batting unit. Rishabh Pant will also make his return in whites, while pacer Yash Dayal was handed his maiden call-up to the unit.

Fans took to social media to express their dispositions with the team for the series against touring Bangladesh.

There was no place for Shreyas Iyer in the unit for the first Test and a fan shared an update that read. “Shreyas Iyer is excluded from the squad of the first Test. Although Sarfraz is there to counter the spin pair of Taijul and Mehidy Miraz, I think Shreyas’ presence would’ve been a key in the Chennai pitch. Gill and Kohli are not in their best touch against spin.”

The Bangla Tigers are set to begin their tour of India with a Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on the 19th of September, while the second Test will be played at the Green Park in Kanpur beginning on the 27th of the month.
