India vs Pakistan in Champions Trophy 2025 on March 1: Report
The iconic IND vs PAK is set to take place in the Champions Trophy 2025 with the two sides slated to meet on March 1.

India will reportedly begin their group-stage games in the Champions Trophy 2025 (CT 2025) against Bangladesh. The tournament is set to make a return to cricketing calendars on February 19, 2025, with Pakistan playing hosts for the first time since 1996.

According to a report by The Telegraph, they have released a schedule which is the supposed schedule for the returning CT 2025.  The likes of India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh will be part of Group A while the remaining sides like Australia, England, South Africa and Afghanistan will be part of Group B.

The iconic clash between rival nations, India vs Pakistan is slated to take place on March 1 at Lahore. This will also be the first time the Indian team have played in Pakistan since 2008.

But India’s participation in the tournament will depend on if the Central Government approves their request and a tournament without the Indian team could serve to be a big financial miss. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has yet to confirm their participation in the tournament.

During last year’s edition of the Asia Cup, the tournament was supposed to be held in Pakistan but due to India being denied approval by the Central Government, they requested that the tournament be held in two legs where all of India’s games and the knockouts would be held in Sri Lanka instead.

The report also suggested that should India refuse to participate in CT 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) could consider alternate venues with the United Arab Emirates being a top pick.

In the schedule draft created by the PCB, all of India’s games will be taking place in Lahore to minimize logistical challenges in the group stages and hope that some Indian fans will be able to make the jump to support their teams.
