Siraj sent back the two GT openers in a fiery opening spell.

In his first over, the second of the match,  Siraj got Wriddhiman Saha caught behind. he bowled a back of a length and just outside off as Wriddhiman looked to cut it over the fielder at point but. The batter only found a faint edge behind to Dinesh Karthik, who took a simple catch.

The Siraj got rid of Shubman Gill as the GT skipper looked impatient with a stagnating run-rate. He bowled it on a length and around off as Shubman looked to flick the ball on the leg side. He was a bit too early on the shot and the ball took the outside edge and went to the deep backward point fielder, where Vijaykumar Vyshak took a comfortable catch.

Cameron Green, bowling the sixth over,  dismissed Sai Sudharsan. He banged one hard into the pitch on middle and off as Sai Sudharsan went for the pull but the ball got big on him. It took the top edge as Virat Kohli at mid-off took a simple catch.
