The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released a set of comprehensive guidelines for the conduct of practical board exams 2024. The guidelines have been issued for private students for the academic year 2023-24. According to the schedule, the CBSE practical board exams 2024 will take place from February 15 to March 15. Candidates can check the set of guidelines by visiting the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in.
The instructions for practical exams include details about the exam venue, when the external examiners will be appointed, how to prepare students and schools, what to do on exam days and other relevant information. By streamlining the evaluation procedure for students in all categories, these guidelines seek to maintain the integrity and openness of the test-taking process.
According to the official notice, students from 2023 who were unable to obtain practical marks due to reasons such as Repeat in Practical (RP), Repeat in Theory and Practical Both (RB), or absence will be required to take practical examinations this year. Similarly, students from 2022 who face similar situations must attend these practicals. Additionally, students from 2021 and earlier years who applied in the Private Category for full subjects must complete practical assessments in their respective subjects.
As per board instructions, private students’ practical exams will be held at the same exam centres used for theory exams. The CBSE regional offices will appoint external examiners, while internal examiners will be appointed by the schools. If no suitable teachers are available, external examiners from nearby schools will be appointed.
