The state board has discontinued the supply exams and instead allowed students three chances to take the final exams. As per the schedule announced by the Karnataka board, the PUC II exam 2 was conducted between April 29 to May 16. Till 2022, only the marks received in the supplementary examination were taken into consideration as the student’s final marks. However, this time, the board introduced a remedial system that allowed students to retain their best scores from the first, second, and third examinations, referring to it as a ‘student unfriendly mechanism.’

When KSEAB introduced a third examination for second-year PU candidates in 2022-23, 1.19 lakh students registered, with 41,961 passing. The goal is to allow students to improve their overall performance in the examination, after which the best scores from the three examinations will be considered for results, KSEAB had said.
