NEET UG 2024: Wrong Papers Distributed At Rajasthan Centre, Here's How NTA Responded
The NTA said that the error was on the part of the Center Superintendent of Girls Higher Secondary Adarsh Vidya Mandir in Rajasthan.

Complaints have surfaced regarding widespread irregularities in the administration of NEET UG 2024, one of the nation’s largest entrance examinations. An FIR has been filed following reports of a NEET paper leak in Patna, Bihar’s capital. Additionally, a case of a dummy candidate appearing for the exam was discovered in Bharatpur, Rajasthan.

Similarly, in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, instances of distributing English medium papers to Hindi medium candidates have been reported, leading to protests by candidates and parents. Furthermore, in Sikar, Rajasthan, a candidate allegedly stabbed another candidate outside the examination centre. Despite this incident, the accused managed to take the exam without hindrance, while the police awaited his return outside.

Patna Police has registered an FIR following the leak of the NEET UG paper. The police are detaining many people and interrogating them. NEET candidates are also among those detained. Many offices and residential apartments in Patna have been raided as well. Meanwhile, at the Adarsh Vidya Mandir examination centre in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. English papers were distributed to Hindi medium candidates and Hindi papers were distributed to English medium candidates.

The report indicates that when candidates raised objections, they were subjected to misconduct. Amidst the commotion, several candidates exited the examination hall with papers in hand. This has raised concerns that the papers may have been tampered with or leaked before the examination. It is reported that candidates were provided with separate question papers and OMR sheets.

The National Testing Agency has admitted that the wrong papers were distributed at a centre in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. The NTA said that the error was on the part of the Center Superintendent of Girls Higher Secondary Adarsh Vidya Mandir. The NTA also said that despite being stopped by the invigilators, some candidates came out of the examination centre with their papers. At the centre where this incident took place, the examination was conducted again on May 5 for about 120 affected students.
