The National Testing Agency (NTA) has deferred the last date for submitting the application form for the recruitment of senior horticulture officers and deputy directors at the National Horticulture Board (NHB). Candidates should be aware that the NTA has extended the application submission date until January 15. Interested candidates who are yet to apply can visit the official portal of the National Testing Agency at exams.nta.ac.in and submit their applications for NHB recruitment.
In addition to that, the NTA has also extended the deadline for correcting National Horticulture Board (NHB) application forms. Previously, the last date to modify the application form was set for January 8, however, it has now been extended to January 17.
This NHB recruitment drive is being conducted to fill a total of 44 vacancies, out of which 19 are for the position of deputy director and 25 for senior horticultural officer.
NHB Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Candidates seeking the aforementioned positions must be at least 30 years old for the post of Senior Horticulture Officer and 40 years old for the post of Deputy Director.
Educational Qualification:
Deputy Director – The candidate must be a Graduate in horticulture/ post-harvest technology/ post-harvest management/agriculture economics/ agriculture engineering/ agriculture/ food technology/food science from a recognized University. Additionally, they must have 5 years’ work experience in the related field from a reputed organization.
Senior Horticulture Officer – To be eligible, a candidate must be a graduate in agriculture, horticulture, post-harvest technology, agriculture economics, agriculture engineering, food technology, or food sciences from a recognised university, preferably with a Master’s degree in the same field.
NHB Recruitment 2023: How To Apply
Candidates can apply for NHB Recruitment 2023 by following the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Candidates need to go to the official website of the National Testing Agency at exams.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: Look for and click on the link available on the homepage titled, “National Horticulture Board (NHB) recruitment examination 2023 registration.”
Step 3: Next, the registration window will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Fill out the form by entering details such as name, email ID, and contact information, and log in to your account by entering the generated credentials.
Step 5: Proceed with the application form and key in the personal and academic details.
Step 6: Scan and upload the necessary documents in the prescribed size and format.
Step 7: Pay the application fees, as mentioned, and hit submit.
Step 8: Generate a copy of the submitted application form and print a hard copy of the same.
NHB Recruitment 2023: Application fees
Candidates falling under the general, Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category must pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 at the time of registration. However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) category will have to deposit Rs 500 as an application fee.
