Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) in Rajasthan is inviting applications for sports and yoga instructors in Chhattisgarh. The vacancy is available in 8 PM SHRI schools operating under the Balod district. The selected candidates will be given a stipend of Rs 10,000 per month. Interested individuals can apply before September 28. While these teachers will teach yoga to the children, they will also help in raising awareness of sports and give sports education. The application form will be submitted in offline mode. The vacancy is available in Balod, Doundi, Dondi Lohara, Gundardehi and Bhilai.
Different qualifications have been prescribed for Yoga and Sports teachers in PM Shri schools. To apply as a sports teacher, the candidates must have a degree in Physical Education from a recognised university or a graduate degree in a physical education-related field. One year of work experience is also necessary to apply for the job. For a Yoga teacher, the candidate should have a degree/Diploma in the related subject from any university. One year of work experience is also required. The age of the applicant should be between 21 to 40 years.
The central government approved a new scheme called PM SHRI on September 7, 2022. These schools follow the National Education Policy 2020. Under this, the central government aims to provide high-quality education in an equitable, inclusive and joyful school environment. It will accommodate students from diverse backgrounds, multilingual needs, and different academic abilities. Under the scheme, the central government aims to spend more than 14500 PM SHRI Schools (PM Schools for Rising India) by strengthening the existing schools from amongst schools managed by the Central Government/State/UT Government/local bodies.
Earlier this year, Union Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, collaborated with Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, to inaugurate 211 PM SHRI schools in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
In addition to inaugurating the PM SHRI schools, Pradhan inaugurated a Digital Library for Kendriya Vidyalaya and Virtual Reality labs for Navodaya Vidyalaya in Chhattisgarh. The event also featured an exhibition showcasing students’ work and a screening of three short films highlighting the initiatives.
