The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Chennai has commenced the Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling registration 2024 at the official website. The authorities have announced the NEET 2024 counselling dates at their official website and students can also apply online from the very website: tnmedicalselection.net. The last date for the registration is August 8, 2024, up to 5 PM.
Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Steps to Register
Step 1: Go to the official website: tnmedicalselection.net
Step 2: Click on ‘UG courses’ tab and select ‘MBBS/BDS’
Step 3: Select the desired quota and click on ‘Online application’
Step 4: Complete the registration from the ‘New Registration’ link using all the required information
Step 5: Make payment of Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling fees and submit the form.
Step 6: Take a printout/ screenshot of it for future reference

Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Application Fee
For the application fee, candidates who are in the government quota have to pay a non-refundable amount of Rs 500, whereas for the management quota, they have to pay Rs 1000. This process is essential for students seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses in both government and private medical colleges across Tamil Nadu.
The NEET UG exam is a national-level entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate medical courses (MBBS/BDS) in India, including Tamil Nadu. The exam will be conducted offline on pen and paper mode. The duration of the examination is 3 hours and 20 minutes. There will be MCQs and students will be rewarded 4 marks for correct answer. For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
Seats are allotted based on the choices filled by candidates, their NEET rank, and seat availability. Candidates must report to the allotted colleges within the specified timeline to confirm their admission.
