The Allahabad High Court will be conducting the recruitment for the position in the Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service (UP HJS). It has released a total vacancy of 83 seats for the post of District Judges in UP. In a recent update by the Allahabad High Court, the online application form date has been postponed. It was originally scheduled to start on February 15 and conclude on March 31.
Now, with the motive of providing some extra time to the aspirants, Allahabad High Court has extended the commencement of application forms to March 15. It will conclude on April 30. Interested candidates can apply on the official website of Allahabad HC–https://www.allahabadhighcourt.in/. This marks the second extension for this recruitment drive from January by the HC. The UP HJS recruitment was announced in December 2023.

Step 1: Visit the official website–https://www.allahabadhighcourt.in/
Step 2: Register yourself after submitting your basic contact information and identity proof.
Step 3: Access the application forms through your registered ID and password.
Step 4: Fill out the application form by entering your required details.
Step 5: Upload the necessary documents.
Step 6: Pay the required application fee.
Step 7: Submit and download the application form.
The application fee for the General, OBC, and EWS category candidates is Rs 1,400, whereas SC and ST category applicants, have to pay Rs 1,200 to submit the registration form for the same.
Eligibility
For district judge recruitment, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in law, i.e., an LLB. They must have also practised seven years as an advocate in court to become eligible for the position. The maximum age of the applicant should be below 45 years, while the minimum age is 35 years. The age exemption is available for the reserved category of candidates.
Selection Procedure
The applicants will be selected based on a written examination and an interview. The written exam will be worth 800 marks. It will be objective and will include questions from the subjects relevant to law, procedure codes, evidence, drafting, pleading, and other legal aspects. The date of the exam has not been announced yet by the Allahabad High Court. The interview round will be worth 200 marks. The students who qualify for the written examination will be eligible for the interview round.
