The Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, is set to be inaugurated on Monday, January 22, in a grand ceremony. The entire country is gearing up for this much-awaited occasion while the preparations are in the last leg for the consecration or Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the temple.
Several hotels and restaurants have been constructed in the city in anticipation of hosting thousands of devotees who are expected to visit the temple. Major restaurant chains have also made plans to open their outlets in Ayodhya. Back in December, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Shri Ram International Airport, which is 15 kilometres away from the city.
The Ayodhya Junction railway station also saw major revamping ahead of the temple’s inauguration. Also, a chopper service from Lucknow to Ayodhya will be launched soon, according to an NDTV report.
Amid all the preparations for the consecration ceremony, the city is also going to get India’s first vegetarian 7-star hotel. Recently, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath told the media that the government has received a proposal to establish a seven-star vegetarian restaurant in the city.
“We have received 25 proposals to set up hotels in Ayodhya, one of the proposals is to build a pure vegetarian seven-star hotel,” CM Yogi Adityanath said.
As per industry standards, the’seven star’ is not an official designation given to any hotel, but it’s a term used by the hospitality industry to denote an establishment’s high standards.
CM Yogi Adityanath added that Ayodhya can easily host more than 50 thousand devotees at a time. Talking about the ongoing development work in the holy town, he said, “There was no infrastructure in Ayodhya before 2017. We tried to develop the town in the past few years; all this should have happened ten years ago, but no effort was made to build infrastructure in Ayodhya.”
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has invested in a luxury property in the temple town. According to an NDTV report, Big B has invested in an enclave called ‘The Sarayu’, which is located about 15 minutes from the temple. The mixed-use enclave is owned by Mumbai-based developer The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL).
Speaking about his investment in the project, Amitabh Bachchan told Hindustan Times, “I am looking forward to embark on this journey with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. The timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have forged an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries.”
