Munich: Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich said they have reached a deal with Roma to sign Morocco defender Mehdi Benatia.

Bayern said they have agreed with Roma not to disclose the terms of the deal. But Italian media reports say Roma were asking between €25 million ($32.98 million) and €30 million ($39.58 million) for the defender.
Bayern were looking for a defender after Javi Martinez tore knee ligaments, an injury that will keep him sidelined for about six months.
