Fulham are now unbeaten in their last six matches against Bolton.

London: Bolton Wanderers and Fulham fought out a dull scoreless draw on Saturday afternoon in their Premier League season opener at the Reebok Stadium.

Fulham are now unbeaten in their last six matches against Bolton, as Wanderers have not beaten Fulham since a League Cup victory in September 2007.

Bolton had the first opportunity after 10 minutes as Johan Elmander attempted a flick, collected the rebound and then dragged a shot wide to the right of Stockdale.

Fulham skipper Danny Murphy went closer with a low strike from outside the box not more than a minute later.

Petrov began to make his mark on the game and cut into the box incisively after being fed by Kevin Davies, only to be halted by a challenge by John Pantsil.

Fulham then enjoyed a spell of possession before half-time, with Gretar Steinsson clearing a shot from Simon Davies and Knight heading behind Damien Duff's free-kick.

But it was Bolton who continued to create the clearer chances, as Elmander dispossessed Kelvin Etuhu and fired a strike into the arms of Stockdale.

The second half was more of the same, as both defences dominated play. Stockdale came up big twice, punching away a 62nd minute Bolton corner and a Stuart Holden free kick in the 69th minute.

Holden had the best chance for Bolton, hitting the right post in the 78th minute with a low shot.
