Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho has reportedly reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Following an impressive loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, Sancho has once again been in demand with several clubs expressing their interest in signing the English international.
SPORTS ZONE have now claimed that Sancho has reached an ‘agreement in principle’ with the French side in the ongoing transfer window. Sharing the update on X (formerly Twitter), they wrote, “Agreement in principle between Jadon Sancho and Paris Saint-Germain. English is not the priority option and Paris favours other avenues.”

The same post also suggests that Manchester United will not be letting Jadon Sancho leave Old Trafford for a transfer fee lower than €60 million. The primary reason behind PSG pushing for a star signing this summer is the departure of Kylian Mbappe. The World Cup-winning French star left for Real Madrid on a free transfer, leaving a hole in Paris. Les Parisiens are now looking to find someone to replace Mbappe at the club and spearhead the side to more trophies in the upcoming season.
Earlier this month, Italian outlet Gazzetta had claimed that Serie A giants Juventus were considering a swap deal for Federico Chiesa to bring Jadon Sancho home. As per the report, the Manchester United star had already nodded to this move but no deal was reached between the two sides. In a similar scenario, Sancho’s move to Paris is not confirmed.
Manchester United signed Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of around €85 million. The England international moved to Old Trafford in 2021 and has since represented the club in 82 games. In these matches, Sancho has registered 12 goals and six assists. He was not in Erik ten Hag’s plan, initially, after a fallout with the Manchester United coach. He had accused the Dutch manager of lying about the reasons for dropping him, a move that led to his banishment from the men’s first team. The duo recently resolved their differences after meeting at the club’s training ground. Sancho then resumed training with his teammates following a 10-month absence.
As for Manchester United, the club is currently in the United States for their preseason tour. They will next feature in two friendly matches ahead taking on Manchester City in the Community Shield.
