Johannesburg: Manchester United target Wesley Sneijder has announced he will stay at Inter next season as "his heart" is with the club.

Inter president Massimo Moratti admitted on Wednesday that the Premier League runners-up had made an offer for the Netherlands World Cup 2010 star, with the bid reported to be £29 million. The midfielder - who is joint top scorer in South Africa with five goals - had moved to the top of Sir Alex Ferguson's wish list as he looked for a replacement for 35-year-old veteran Paul Scholes.

Speaking to the press on Thursday in the build up to Sunday's final against Spain, Sneijder declared he will not be making the move to Old Trafford.

"It is correct that Manchester United have approached Inter about my availability. But I don't have the intention to leave Inter any time soon," Sneijder revealed.

"I'm staying, I will play the whole of next season with Inter.

"My heart is in Milan, with Inter I won everything last season and there's still a lot more to win, like the European Super Cup, the Italian Super Cup and the Club World Club - all nice trophies."

"There are so many more titles to be won with my current club. Therefore, I will stay at Inter."
