Tottenham ready to spend 17 million pounds on Soldado
Soldado has a release clause of 26 million pounds with Valencia, but the Spurs hope to get him for less.

Tottenham Hotspur have gathered pace in the transfer season, with the EPL club now looking to rope in Spain striker Roberto Soldado from Valencia with a 17-million-pound bid, according to Daily Star.

The 28-year-old Soldado has a release clause of £26m wiith Valencia for his contract that runs until 2017, but Spurs hope they can get him for less as the Spanish club is facing a financial crunch.

Soldado was currently part of Spain's Confederations Cup squad but was not used during the side's 3-0 loss to Brazil in the final on Sunday. Other than Soldado, Spurs are also eyeing another strike having offered Barcelona £10m for David Villa.
