Quick Steps to Cancel a Shein Order

How to Cancel Your Shein Order in the App

Download and open the Shein app. Shein’s official app is available on the Apple App Store (for iPhones) and the Google Play store (for Android devices). You’ll have to log into your Shein account if you aren’t already logged in.

Press ‘Me’ to open your profile. This button is in the lower-right corner of the app. Once pressed, you’ll see several sections, including one that says ‘My Orders.’

In the ‘My Orders’ section, tap ‘View All'. The ‘View All’ button is on the right side of the top of the section. Pressing it will bring up all of your Shein orders.

Select the order you wish to cancel. If it’s not there because it was just placed, try closing and reopening the app to refresh it. If the order is still not available, contact Shein customer service. If you order two Shein items from different warehouses, two orders will be generated. Make sure to cancel all unwanted orders.

Click the ‘Cancel Order’ button. It will be on the bottom of your order details page if your order is eligible for cancellation and has not yet shipped from Shein. Press it to cancel the order. Select the reason for cancelling when prompted. The app will tell you the request was submitted successfully. If your Shein order has shipped, you cannot cancel it. You can initiate a return to get a refund once the item arrives. Some Shein orders are not eligible for cancellation. This includes customized items.

How to Cancel Your Shein Order on the Website

Go to Shein’s website and log in to your account. When you open the Shein website, hold your cursor over the person icon next to the search bar at the top of the page and click ‘Sign In/Register.’

Navigate to ‘My Orders'. This can be done by holding your cursor over the person icon next to the search bar and selecting ‘My Orders’ from the dropdown menu.

Click on the order you want to cancel and click ‘Cancel Order’. You’ll be prompted to select a reason for cancelling. You may be prompted to select a payment method to receive a refund on, or simply shown a confirmation message. If you don’t see the order, try refreshing the page or clicking ‘View All’ to see your complete order history. If the ‘Cancel Order’ button isn’t there, the order may have already shipped or it may be ineligible for cancellation. If you ordered multiple items as part of a promotion (like a BOGO, or buy-one-get-one-free sale), cancelling one of the orders will cancel both.

When do you get a refund from Shein?

Shein refunds gift card and Shein Wallet payments within 24 hours. If you paid for the cancelled order with a Shein gift card or your Shein wallet, the refund process is quick. You will receive an email when the refund has been processed. The order’s balance will be reflected in your Shein Wallet or on your Shein gift card’s balance. To check your Shein Wallet balance, log in to your account. Navigate to ‘My Assets’ and then click ‘My Wallet’ to check if your refund has been applied.

Non-Shein payment methods take 1-15 business days to refund. When you cancel an order, Shein initiates the refund within 24 hours. However, your financial institution must process the refund and reflect it into your account. If you used PayPal to purchase, it will take 1-5 business days to receive a refund on your cancelled Shein order. If you used a credit or debit card to make your purchase, it will take between 1-15 business days to receive your refund from Shein.

Shein will return Points applied to cancelled, unpaid orders. If you used Points to make an order and cancelled it, the Points you spent will be credited back to your Points balance. Points expiration dates still apply—don’t forget to use them in time!

Contact your bank if a refund is delayed. After 15 business days have passed, if your cancelled order amount has not yet been refunded, you should reach out to your bank to inquire about its status. Some debit and credit cards generate an ARN, or Acquirer Reference Number, that will be emailed to you after a refund succeeds. Use this ARN when contacting your bank, if applicable.

Why might your refund be less than the original purchase?

Exchange rates and bank fees may affect refund amounts. When you receive a refund for a Shein order you cancelled, your bank may charge you a commission fee. Additionally, the currency exchange rate could have changed since purchasing, which will impact the refund amount for international orders. For Shein orders that were shipped and returned—instead of being cancelled—the refund amount will be less than the purchase amount because the original shipping fee is non-refundable.

Can you cancel a Shein order after shipping?

No, you cannot cancel a shipped Shein order. You can return it to request a refund, however. Simply wait for the package to arrive and initiate the return request. Most times, you will have to return the item to Shein, but sometimes they will let you keep it and refund you without a return. You can’t return free gifts and customized items. You also can’t return lingerie, underwear, bodysuits, accessories, jewelry, cosmetics, clearance or final sale items, and pet products if the product page shows the item was marked as ineligible for return or exchange. You can’t return worn or damaged items. Tags and original packaging should be in-tact.
