Can you get Netflix for free?

Netflix no longer offers a 1-month free trial. While offered in the past, this promotion no longer exists. Some companies and providers offer a package that may include a Netflix subscription. Verizon has offered a 12-month Netflix subscription promotion in the past, but it has since expired. T-Mobile offers Netflix On Us, which includes a Netflix subscription along with a phone plan at no extra cost. Keep an eye out for other deals and promotions linked to services you already own or plan to purchase. Currently, a Basic subscription with ads costs $6.99/month. Unlike Amazon Prime, Netflix does not offer a discounted student subscription. You can always share Netflix with a friend, watch movies on FaceTime, or even stream Netflix to watch together.

Adding a New Profile

Open https://www.netflix.com/ in a web browser. You can also use the Netflix app on any device made after 2013. If you aren't already logged in, enter your email and password to do so now, or create an account. You can have up to 5 profiles on one Netflix account. Use this method to create your own profile.

Click Manage Profiles. All existing profiles will now have a pencil icon over the picture. On mobile, tap Edit in the top-right corner.

Click or tap Add Profile. This will be a blank square with a + in the center.

Enter a profile name. You can use your name or a pseudonym. If you're making this profile for a child, toggle on the switch for Kids Profile.

Click or tap Save. Your profile will be added to the list. You can now use your profile to watch Netflix.
