HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials who conducted searches at 33 places across the state on excise officials and offices for being involved with the liquor mafia and arrested three excise officials on Thursday.A team of ACB officials caught two members of the state level task force teams, inspector Siva Prasad and sub-inspector Ch Balanarsimha along with excise inspector of Godavarikhani M Yadagiri and seized more than Rs3.62 lakh in Karimnagar on Thursday.“Siva Prasad and Balanarsimha are members of state-level Special Task Force based in the city and visited Karimnagar specifically for collection of mamool,’’ an official release by ACB said.During the searches 25 files, 105 account books, 275 loose sheets, six hard disks, a CPU, two data recovery CDs were seized and the seized records submitted before the special court for ACB cases in Hyderabad.“Preliminary scrutiny of the seized records revealed designations of various public servants who were alleged to have received illegal money periodically,’’ the ACB said.The ACB will submit a final investigation report to the government after completion of the investigation.
