Lucknow: An Air India Airbus carrying 169 passengers to Bhubaneshwar from Delhi landed under emergency conditions at the airport on Tuesday after a crack developed in its windshield.
All passengers are safe.
Airport Director SC Hota said that AI-873 Airbus 321 was on its way to Bhubaneshwar when the pilot noticed a crack in the windshield on the rear side of the nose.
The pilot came in contact with the air traffic control at Lucknow at 11:54 AM when it was near Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh and sought permission for landing at the airport here, Hota said.
The aircraft landed safely at the airport at 12.37 PM.
