New Delhi: A committee of Air India is yet to finalise the draft salary structure for its executive pilots, even though it has received a feedback from the group concerned, the government said on Tuesday. Air India had invited representatives of executive pilots to ascertain their views on the draft salary structure put up for their feed back, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma said.
The state-owned airline had in 2012 formed the Implementation and Anomaly Rectification Committee to implement the Justice Dharmadhikari Committee's recommendations and also look into anomalies, if any. The executive pilots made their submission on the recommendations made by the Dharamadhikari Committee on flying allowance and its determination, the Minister informed Rajya Sabha in a written reply.
To another question, Sharma said that Air India is to monetise its assets as part of its Turnaround Plan and Financial Restructuring Plan approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs. The airline will mop-up Rs 5,000 crore over a 10-year period from asset monetisation.
Air India is considering the development of its land parcels on joint venture basis, he said. The project-specific development agreement/model shall be decided mutually on case-to-case basis, the Minister said. There were 16 land assets of the airline spread across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Gujarat, Haryana, West Bengal, Maharashtra and New Delhi, he said.
