The Centralised Admission Committee of the government would conduct supplementary allotment of medical seats on September 27.

According to Health Secretary and CENTAC Chairman (Health) G Ragesh Chandra, at present, there were two seats vacant in the self-financing colleges at Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Arupadai Veedu Medical College. Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute and Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences have intimated the non-existence of vacancies. “However, we are awaiting intimation from the remaining private colleges with regard to vacancies,” he said. Once the list was received, the CENTAC would call the appropriate number of students following the order of merit and allot the seats, he said.

However, Puducherry Students and parents welfare association president V Balasubramanian has urged the government to put up the vacancy position in the CENTAC website for facilitating students to respond.
