Amar Singh raises doubts over CBI's neutrality
The SP General Secretary said that he condemns the shoe-throwing incident.

New Delhi: Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Tuesday used the incident of a Sikh journalist hurling a shoe at Home Minister P Chidambaram to attack the Congress and raise doubts over the CBI's neutrality.

"The way Delhi burnt during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, its wounds are yet to heal," he told reporters while touring Lucknow and Hazaribagh.

"You may feel that I have changed my tune. Despite all the humiliation I am with Congress out of compulsion as I cannot go with BJP," Singh said.

Alleging that the CBI is "misused," he said "When we are not in government it is used against us...I don't believe that the CBI is neutral, though I am not levelling allegations against anybody."

The SP General Secretary, however, said that he condemns the shoe-throwing incident.
