Another MLA resigns for Telangana

KARIMNAGAR: Congress associate member and Ramagundam MLA Somarapu Satyanarayana has faxed his resignation letter to Speaker Nadendla Manohar here on Tuesday. Prior to the fax, he signed on the resignation papers in presence of people at Godavarikhani.Mines workers and other party leaders also expressed their solidarity with him for resigning his post in support of Sakala Janula Samme. Speaking to media persons, he alleged that despite (Telangana Congress leaders) mounting pressure on the Centre, Congress government has been delaying the T issue. About 650 Telangana people have sacrificed their lives for Telangana cause, the MLA recalled.Somarapu said that the government has failed to accept his request to release salaries and festival bonus to mine workers, “I quit my post owing to the delay in not releasing salaries and bonus,” he said and he and assured active participation in the Telangana movement from Wednesday onwards
