New Delhi: From food to music, stand-up comedian-actor Vir Das chooses something or the other to connect with his male co-actors because he feels bromance relies on their off-screen chemistry.

After 'Delhi Belly', Vir will be seen in zombie comedy 'Go Goa Gone' with male co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu and Anand Tiwari. Since it's a multi-star cast, connecting with his co-stars is very important to him.

"I've been working on bromance zone, which is comedy, and it relies on buddy system. It's very important to get to know each other fast, otherwise it affects the comedy," Vir told IANS on phone from Chandigarh.

In order to connect with Kunal, Vir took help of music. "I know Khemu plays guitar. I also play guitar, so both of us got two guitars in Goa and we jammed. We made a lot of music," he said.

Similarly, he used food as the common connecting point while shooting with Boman Irani in 'Santa Banta'.

"Boman is a foodie. I am also a foodie, so that's why we are gelling. I always find one common connecting point because it's really important to have a good chemistry," said Vir, who thinks one needs to be patient to be an actor.

"While doing stand-up comedy you know the joke is funny or not in three seconds. It's different with acting. You have to wait for nine months to know you screwed up a lot as the feedback comes very late," said the actor, currently stationed in Chandigarh for 'Santa Banta' shooting.

Though the actor is good at building relationships with his co-stars, he says he is not good at time management.

"I have horrible time management skills. In last two years, I've slept less than in my entire life, but I am enjoying it," he added.

For Vir, right connect with the audience is more important than the lead roles.

"My audience is not just film audience. There are stand-up comedy, music and film audiences. Their expectations are very high because the audiences see every content, which is why I am choosy about films...," said the actor who does films to make himself laugh.

His other movies that are lined up for release this year include 'Sooper Se Ooper', 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects', 'Revolver Rani' and 'Amit Sahni Ki List'.

Besides acting, writing will keep him busy. He is penning comedy films.
