HYDERABAD: After the third day of raids at offices and residences of persons who invested in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s businesses, the CBI said more individuals and companies are likely to be added to the list of accused in the FIR pertaining to Jagan’s source of investments in the coming days. The accused list at present has 74 firms and individuals.CBI teams on Saturday searched for relevant documents at the offices of the Ramky Group at Somajiguda, Alpha Group at Vikrampuri, Secunderabad and the residence of A K Dandamudi, an alleged investor in Jagan’s businesses. Unconfirmed reports said searches were conducted at the godowns of Jagati Publications at Kandlakoya village near Medchal.The CBI team had to wait outside Dandamudi’s residence for nearly an hour as they found the house locked. The family then sent the keys to the CBI team who searched the house in the presence of neighbours.’CBI joint director V V Lakshminarayana continued to monitor the searches. Emerging from the Ramkey corporate office at Somajiguda, he said they would include some more names in FIR. “We are verifying the documents seized so far,” he said and added that no bank accounts were seized.To a query whether the CBI will probe the Emaar case from the beginning, he said, “We are looking it as a total project from its inception and not at one period.’’To another question, he said former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s name was mentioned in the FIR but not in the accused list.Lakshminarayana said teams conducting searches in Bangalore have almost finished their job and are likely to return by Sunday with seized documents. He added that the teams conducted searches at four places in the city on Saturday and would continue doing so for the next few days.Sources said the CBI has narrowed down on some more persons and firms which invested in Jagan’s businesses and they would include them in the list of accused. The CBI is understood to have submitted to the court a status report on the searches it has conducted so far.
