Mumbai: Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, who has made 'Shootout at Wadala', 'Musafir' and 'Kaante', says that the craze to join the Rs.100 crore club is such that people are going to any length to enter that segment.
A film that earns Rs.100 crore at the box office enters the club.
"Lure of the Rs.100 crore club makes most filmmakers do strange things," Gupta posted on his Twitter page.
Recently, 'Chennai Express', full on entertainer, has become the fastest film to make Rs.100 crore. It accomplished the feat in the first weekend itself.
"So 'Chennai Express' marches on. With the quickest century and three others as well we can call Rohit Shetty the (Sachin) Tendulkar of films," he wrote and added: "Shah Rukh Khan has almost hijacked all newspapers, magazines and TV. SRK and 'Chennai Express' everywhere. Maan gaye yaar."
