New Delhi: The Class 10 CBSE exams began on Monday. More than 7 lakh students took their first exam from more than 2,600 examination centres across the country.
In the Capital, over 2 lakh students are taking the exams.
On Monday, students appeared for their Social Science paper with 20 per cent of the questions being based on the 'High Order Thinking Skills' or HOTS format as prescribed by the national curriculum frameworks.
Students, however, seemed to have negotiated the change in the question paper quite well and were satisfied with their performance.
A student, Dev Chopra says, "The paper was quite easy and I am quite happy. The new format was simple enough."
Another student, Roshini adds, "I have done quite well, inspite of being nervous in the morning. The HOTS format wasn't difficult at all."
