New Delhi: The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday claimed that there are evidences that Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely tried to scuttle the probe into the Delhi and District Cricket Association's (DDCA) alleged scam.
In an exclusive interview to CNN-IBN, Kejriwal said, "There are proofs, which suggest that Jaitley ji wrote letters to the probe agency asking them to close the files related to the DDCA. He cited reason that he has already gone through the DDCA files and there is nothing wrong in it."
"There is a video where Jaitley ji is trying to convince Kirti Azad that nothing wrong has happened in DDCA. Interestingly, there are charges of ill practice in DDCA; I wonder why Jaitley ji is reacting. I would like to know," he added.
"Why he (Jaitley) is afraid of probe, if he is innocent," he questioned while referring to a popular saying "Chor Ki Daadhi Mein Tinka (A speck in the beard of a thief, which means if you have done something wrong then you will try to hide it)".
Reacting on CBI raid at his office, Kejriwal said, "They are trying to scare me because I had set up a committee to look after the DDCA scam. I am not going to bowed down. I am here to fight corruption and will continue to do this."
