KANNUR:  The factional fight in the District Congress Committee (DCC) here has taken the form of an open poster-war with the supporters of K Sudhakaran MP setting up flex boards carrying his life-size pictures at some centres in the district here. The flex-boards with pictures of Sudhakaran were designed to attack Kannur DCC president P Ramakrishnan. There were reports that the KPCC leadership is trying to evolve a formula to settle the row in the DCC, but the supporters of Sudhakaran were all set to launch a do-or-die battle to oust P Ramakrishnan from the post of district Congress chief.P Ramakrishnan, a true Gandhian, seemed to be unperturbed by the continuing move to oust him from the post of DCC president. He said he would continue as long as he was asked to do so by the Congress leadership. He is planning to hold a Satyagraha on October 2 as part of the programmes fixed for the Gandhi Jayanthi day. K Sudhakaran, who has been seemingly keeping himself away from the ongoing poster war, is also determined to get P Ramakrishnan expelled from the post. There were allegations that he was instigating his supporters to go ahead with the campaign against Ramakrishnan. K Sudhakaran, who demanded a probe into the allegations of embezzlement of party funds raised against him by the DCC president, isn’t ready to own up responsibility for the posters carrying his pictures appeared at various places in the town.
