Bareilly: The Bareilly district administration will relax curfew for four hours on Monday in the five police station areas of the city.
Curfew will be relaxed in Prem Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Kotwali, Baradari and Qila ares of the city from 1000 hrs IST and 1400 hrs IST.
Though no fresh incidents of violence have been reported, the town continues to be tense.
IG Bhanu Pratap Singh and District Commissioner Majid Ali, however, said that schools will remain closed till further orders.
Securiity forces staged a flag march in the communally sensitive areas of the city on Sunday.
Police also stopped stopped political leaders from entering the town so that communal emotions are not fanned.
BJP leader Maneka Gandhi, who was to visit Bareilly, was stopped at Ghaziabad.
The city has been under curfew for the last 14 days after communal clashes broke out following stone pelting on a religious procession on March 2.
