Delhi Police file chargesheet in Soumya murder case
Delhi Police on Monday filed 620-page long chargesheet in the murder case.

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Monday filed 620-page long chargesheet in the Soumya Vishwanathan murder case.

All the five accused - - Ajay Sethi, Ravi Kapoor, Amit Kumar Shukla, Baljit Malik and Ajay Kumar - have also been booked under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in the chargesheet.

"There are 60 witnesses in the case. There are five accused in the case. The motive behing the murder was robbery. Charges are murder, destruction of evidence and criminal conspiracy. MOCOCA has been slapped against the all five accused," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) HGS Dhaliwal.

They have been booked for murder, destruction of evidence and forgery among charges.

The police say they have strong evidence against the five accused, like the grey WagonR used to carry out the crime and phone records that indicate they were near the murder spot.

The murder weapon has also been recovered but the forensic reports are yet to come.

Soumya, a TV journalist was shot dead on September 30, 2008, while she was going back home after work. The motive of the murder is yet to be established.
