Dirty Picture: Veena Mallik's selection objected
Pramod Muthalik is objecting the the selection of Pakistan's actress Veena Mallik in Kannada film "Dirty Picture'.

The Sreerama Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik who made nationwide news by opposing the Velentine's day and recently agitated against Kannada film industry's first 3 D film 'Kataari Veera Sura Sundaraangi' starring Super Star Upendra and Ramya for maligning Hindu gods is once again in news.

This time he is protesting against the the selection of Pakistan's controversial actress Veena Mallik in Kannada film "Dirty Picture' which is also based on the life and times of South Indian Glamour Diva Silk Smitha.

Though the shooting of the film is being held for more than a month in Bengaluru, Pramod Muthalik who was keeping silent for all these days has chosen to raise the issue of bringing an actress from a neighbouring enemy nation to play a lead in the Kannada film.

"The incidents relating to Pakistani actress Laila's murder and her nexus with terrorists of her country has now made us to think that this actress should be sent back immediately as she can be a possible threat to India's security requirements. Bengaluru being the Cyber Capital of the country also houses many top defence and scientific establishments. We have to be more cautious when we are dealing with persons coming from an enemy country. We can not compromise on our security needs. :Laila had acted in Kannada film Make Up with Jaggesh. We were told that she is just an actress, but you see how she has transformed as an actress with terrorist links. Even Indian actress Monica Bedi who later became an accomplice of Pakistani based terrorist was looking like an innocent girl when she had acted in Kannada film with Jaggesh. With these precedents behind us, it would be better for us to be careful and dissociate from controversial actresses like Veena Mallik' says Pramod Muthalik.

However Veena Mallik who has been a centre of controversy eversince she had accepted this offer towork in the Kannada film says that Artists do not have barriers of country, caste or language. "We want to showcase our talents and if a Kannada film provides me a perfect platform to prove my talent why should I not accept the film. I found the script exciting when it was briefed to me. I have had a great experience working in this film so far. There is no point in making baseless allegations against me' says Veena.

However Akshay, the hero of Kannada film Dirty Picture and its director Thrishool say that Veena's selection was based on the requirements of the script. "Though many actresses who had acted in Kannada films like Nikitha and Pooja Gandhi were interested to work in the film, we had zeroed on Veena Mallik as she would have fulfilled all the demands required for the role. And Veena is not averse to expose on screen which was the main factor for us to select her. Otherwise we would not have convinced the people of the script' says Akshay.

Thrishool says that shooting for more than sixty percent of the film has been completed and they are rounding up the remaining part of the film in eight to ten days. "At this time how can we change the heroine. And Veena Mallik is being closely watched by the Policeman who are always present while she is shooting. I dont think in this situation, we need to suspect her intentions of accepting the role. Already Veena has acted in Bollywood movies and has been part of many successful Reality shows' says Thrishool.
